Approvals
FPA and NOA — the paperwork that gets it approved
In Florida, the metal needs the paperwork. Statewide jobs need a Florida Product Approval (FPA); jobs in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone need a Miami-Dade NOA — tested to higher wind-uplift and wind-driven-rain standards.
We publish the approval documents and numbers for our systems here, so the GC, the architect and the AHJ can confirm compliance without a phone call.
- Florida Product Approval (FPA) — statewide
- Miami-Dade NOA — HVHZ, the stricter standard
- Numbers and PDFs published, not buried

FAQ
Resources FAQ
Where can I download Superb Metals spec sheets and CAD details?
Here on the resources page. We post panel spec sheets (SL150, NS100), CAD and PDF flashing details for coping, scuppers, drip edge, gutters and custom flashing, the color chart, and our FPA/NOA approvals — all as direct downloads. Need something not posted yet? Email orders@SuperbMetals.com or call (352) 432-3047 and we'll send it.
What Florida approvals do your metal roofing systems carry?
Our standing seam systems carry Florida Product Approval (FPA) for statewide use, and our HVHZ systems carry a Miami-Dade NOA — tested to the stricter high-wind and wind-driven-rain standards. The approval numbers and documents are published in the resource library so GCs, architects and inspectors can verify compliance. [TODO-CLIENT: confirmed FPA/NOA numbers.]
Can architects get CAD details to spec your products?
Yes. We provide CAD and PDF flashing and panel details so architects can drop our profiles and finishes into a spec — and know they're obtainable from a local Central Florida fabricator, not a discontinued catalog item. Need a custom condition drawn or a detail we haven't posted? Send it and we'll provide it.
Do you provide a color chart?
Yes — the metal roofing color chart covers our Kynar/PVDF, SMP and Galvalume finishes and is downloadable here. Because screen color is approximate, we recommend ordering physical chips before committing a run. You can request chips alongside any quote at (352) 432-3047 or orders@SuperbMetals.com.
What's the difference between FPA and Miami-Dade NOA?
Florida Product Approval (FPA) approves a product for statewide use. A Miami-Dade NOA is required in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone and is the stricter standard, tested to higher wind-uplift and wind-driven-rain thresholds. A system holding both gives you coverage statewide and in HVHZ counties; we publish ours in the resource library.
Can't find the spec, detail, or approval you need?
Tell us what the job needs and we'll send it — usually same business day, from someone who actually knows the product.
