FAQ

Products & panels

  • What's the difference between NS100 (Defender) and SL150 (Guardian)?

Defender (NS100) is a budget nail-fin snap-lock standing seam panel — fast, economical, good for most residential jobs. Guardian (SL150) is a premium clip-fastened, mechanically-seamed system tested past 325 MPH, HVHZ-rated, and built to exceed Miami-Dade code. Choose Defender on price, Guardian where wind rating and warranty matter most. Not sure? We'll help you pick.

  • What is a standing seam metal roof?

Standing seam is a metal roof system with raised, interlocking vertical seams that hide the fasteners — so nothing penetrates the panel face to leak. It's the fastest-growing residential metal type and the most weather-tight. Superb fabricates both nail-fin (Defender NS100) and clip-fastened (Guardian SL150) standing seam to order in Clermont, Florida.

  • Do you fabricate custom flashing, coping, and scuppers?

Yes. We bend custom flashing in-house — drip edge, coping (including radius), commercial and box gutters, downspouts, scuppers (TPO/PVC-clad and G90 soldered), collector and leader heads (including copper), chimney caps, kickouts, window pans, Z-flashing, and goosenecks. Send a detail and we'll fabricate it to spec, matched to your panels from one run.

  • Can I order panels and trim together so they match?

Yes — and you should. Order panels and trim from us on one PO and they run together in a single production run, in one color and gauge. That kills the most common field problem: trim from a separate supplier that doesn't match the panel, which no amount of caulk fixes. One source, one run, one match.

FAQ

Ordering, lead time & delivery

  • What's your lead time on made-to-order panels?

Metal panels are made to order — there's no stock length on a shelf. We give you a committed fab date in writing when you place the PO, and we hit it. If a date ever has to move, you hear it from us first, not after you call. [TODO-CLIENT: fab lead-time SLA]

  • How do I get a quote, and how fast?

Email your takeoff or detail to orders@SuperbMetals.com or use the quote form. We review it, flag any missing trim or wrong length before production, and quote it fast — [TODO-CLIENT: target quote turnaround, e.g. within 24 business hours]. Rough numbers are fine to start; we'll tighten them with you.

  • Can I pick up my order, or do you deliver?

Both. Will-call pickup is at our Minneola shop — we open at [TODO-CLIENT: 7:30 or 8:00] AM so crews can load early and inspect material before it leaves. We also deliver to jobsites across Lake, Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Polk counties. Tell us which you prefer when you request a quote.

  • What happens if a panel arrives wrong or short?

Because we fabricate in-house, a remake doesn't wait on a distant mill — it's ours to fix fast. Tell your rep and we re-run the affected pieces on a priority slot so your crew isn't idle. There's no fixing a panel that's four inches short, so we make sure it isn't. [TODO-CLIENT: remake window + remedy]

  • Do you offer free takeoff review?

Yes. Send your takeoff or plans and our team reads them with 40+ years of combined trade experience, flagging a missing trim line or a wrong length before we cut — not after. Catching it before it's metal saves you a remake and a stalled install. It's part of how we order, not an upsell.

FAQ

Materials, finishes & code

  • What metals do you offer?

Aluminum (.032), Galvalume, AZ50 coated steel (26 gauge), TPO-clad steel, copper, and G90 galvanized. Aluminum and copper resist coastal corrosion; Galvalume and AZ50 steel balance cost and durability; TPO-clad suits flat-roof scupper work. Tell us the job and we'll advise the right substrate and gauge for Central Florida conditions.

  • What finishes and colors can I get?

Kynar/PVDF (the architect's first choice for fade and chalk resistance), SMP, and Galvalume mill finish — on steel and aluminum, plus natural copper. Kynar/PVDF carries the longest finish warranties. Want to hold the real finish before you commit a whole roof? Order color chips, or see our colors page.

  • Is your metal Florida code-approved? Do you have NOA and FPA numbers?

Our Guardian (SL150) system is third-party tested past 325 MPH, HVHZ-rated, and built to exceed Miami-Dade code. Florida Product Approval (FPA) covers statewide use; a Miami-Dade NOA covers the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. We publish our approval numbers on the resources page so your AHJ and spec writer sign off the first time. [TODO-CLIENT: FPA / NOA numbers]

  • What's the Guardian System warranty?

The Guardian (SL150) mechanically-seamed system carries a 10-year leak-proof warranty, extendable to a 50-year transferable warranty. Combined with a 325+ MPH wind rating and HVHZ approval, it's built to be the last roof a home needs — and a system a contractor or architect can stand behind. [TODO-CLIENT: warranty terms]

FAQ

Who we serve & accounts

  • Do you sell to homeowners?

Our core customers are roofing contractors, general contractors, builders, and architects. We don't sell roofing materials directly to homeowners — that keeps us from competing with the contractors who buy from us. If you're a homeowner who wants the Guardian system, we'll point you to a contractor who installs it. See our homeowners page.

  • Can I open an account and order on a PO?

Yes. We're set up to take purchase orders — that's what orders@SuperbMetals.com is for. Open a contractor account for repeat ordering, a named rep, and [TODO-CLIENT: priority fab slots / credit terms]. Email or use the quote form to start, and your reorders become one call.

  • What areas do you serve?

Roofing contractors, GCs, builders, and architects across Central Florida — Lake, Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Polk counties. That covers Clermont, Orlando, Kissimmee, Sanford, Winter Garden, and the surrounding metro. Our shop is in Minneola, about 30 miles west of Orlando. Job near the line? Call and ask.

  • Why buy from a local fabricator instead of a national distributor?

A national chain re-orders your metal from a mill states away, so you can't inspect it before it ships and a remake waits on freight. We cut it here. You can check color, count, and lengths at will-call before it leaves, a remake is a fast priority run in our own shop, and you get a named rep who knows your jobs.
